In the early hours of Thursday morning the fire brigade was called to a factory fire at the Halgan premises in Crestmead, Brisbane. We extend our deepest gratitude to the emergency responders who swiftly contained the fire.

Whilst there were no injuries to employees or personnel, the damage to the factory was considerable. Today we have had access to the site and the positive news is all critical parts are in good condition. We are currently implementing our continuity plan and are redeploying production demands to both the Sydney and Melbourne facilities.

What a ride it’s been! All the way back in 1994, Kerry Hall started up a business with one thing in mind… creating a light weight, compact, efficient and effective grease trap. Fast forward 30 years and here we are… market leaders, manufacturing in three States and selling not just nationally, but across the globe.

Celebrating 30 years

We are thrilled to share our involvement in BHP’s groundbreaking Oak Dam underground access project, strategically located on Kokatha country—a key initiative unlocking South Australia’s copper resources.
Our contribution includes the delivery of a robust 38,000-septic system, proudly manufactured right here in Australia to meet the specific demands of our unique Aussie conditions. This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of key partners, including Garth at Samios Plumbing Supplies Melrose Park, Dylan from Territory Trade Services, and our exceptional Halgan team.
