Without certification the consumer is not protected from product that maybe approved by Water Authorities but has been supplied incorrectly to that area, ie, change of wall thickness, no compliance plates and/or change of design/suppliers. These issues are often not picked up until after installation and the customer has little recourse.
Simply put, certification adds confidence to purchasers, regulators and the community.
